How to play Counter Strike Global Offensive - Multiplayer - No Steam

Hey guys, I've seen a lot of people asking around the way to play Counter Strike Global Offensive Multiplayer, either on LAN or on the internet. Well, here's a well-briefed, detailed guide to do the job!

To play with your friends on LAN, make sure all of you are connected to one network. An easy way to do that is by making a Wi-Fi hotspot, either by phone or your laptop and get everyone to connect to that. You may follow any other method but make sure that all of you are connected to the same network in order to play on LAN.

After all of you are connected on the same network, follow the following procedure :


  PART A : SETTING UP THE SERVER

   On any one computer (the host), do the following :

    Step 1   :    Go to Options and then Game Settings





    Step 2   :   Enable the developer console

    Step 3   :    Go to Play and select Offline With Bots
   

    Step 4   :    Select any map and click GO 

     Step 5   :   When the game is loaded, open up the console by pressing "~"
                      on your keyboard and type sv_lan 1 and then press Enter

    Step 6   :    Open up the console again and type status and then press enter

   Step 7   :    Note down the udp/ip the way its highlighted in the screenshot

  PART B : CONNECTING TO THE SERVER

   On all other computers other than the host, do the following to get connected and play together :

   On main menu, open up the console and type connect ip and press enter, where ip would be
   the udp/ip you noted down in PART A

And that's it! You will definitely get connected and will be able to play Counter Strike Global Offensive on LAN without Steam.
